How to play

Estimate the angle shown, in whole degrees. You get 6 guesses.

Measure the shaded side. Two rays always make two angles — the one inside and the one going the long way round. The shaded region is the one we're asking about, and it can be more than 180°.

After each guess you're told whether the real angle is higher or lower, plus how close you are:

Exact — you got it
Blazing — within 2°
Hot — within 5°
Warm — within 10°
Cool — within 20°
Cold — more than 20° off

Everyone in the world gets the same angle each day. It's always a whole number between 10° and 350°, never within 10° of a straight line, and it's drawn with real trigonometry.
